Heck, I_m impressed by anyone who can run 26.2 miles in ANY amount of time. But as you_ve probably guessed by now, Tabatha_s time set off quite the controversyWhen race officials looked into the split times from her race, they noticed something more than just a little fishy. The 31-year old ran the FIRST 13.1 miles in just under 2 hours and 7 minutes. A steady pace. But it took her just 49 MINUTES to run the OTHER 13 miles At this point I_d like to point out that the world record for a HALF MARATHON is 58 minutes and 23 seconds. So our friend Tabatha here smashed the world record for a half marathon while running the second half of a full one Note to self: when cheating in a marathon, try and avoid breaking world records - it only arouses suspicion If you think what Tabatha did was flat out impossible, you_re not alone Race officials disqualified her as the race winner and awarded the number one place to someone else. But here_s the thing - she_s sticking to her guns Tabatha says she ran every inch of that race, and she didn_t cheat. She claims her tracking chip was faulty Hey, innocent until proven guilty, right? I_d even be tempted to give her the benefit of the doubt... if it weren_t for ONE minor detail. This WASN_T Hamilton_s first marathon - far from it. In fact, she ran one last year that took her more than SIX HOURS. All of a sudden she_s breaking the 3 hour mark? Virtually impossible. Did she hop in a cab, or was she so exhausted she somehow veered off course and accidentally took a shortcut? Maybe, but either way, it sounds to ME like Tabitha_s running from the truth. That_s why the only thing she_s winning is the dishonor of being our Boob of the Week
