Now here_s Katherine Curtis with a Naked News Bulletin.Isabella, a California judge has given the green light for Uber drivers to file a class-action lawsuit against the company. Three drivers have taken legal action over benefits and tips and argue that they_re Uber employees and not contractors. Being classified as an employee means the drivers would be able to claim expenses and receive tips. Uber drivers can now sue as a group, and thousands of them could join the action. If Uber loses the lawsuit, it may have to pay for health insurance, workers_ comp, and cover gas and car repairs. A DEA crackdown on a nationwide steroid ring has ended with more than 90 arrests and 16 underground labs brought down. The covert sting operation has been ongoing since April. Busts were made across 20 states. The DEA believes that most of the materials seized in the secret labs was bought online from Chinese chemical manufacturing companies, and then converted into powerful steroids. And ever wonder how many trees there are on this beautiful planet of ours? Well according to new research there are three TRILLION of them - or 420 for every human. A team at Yale University combined ground survey data and satellite images to reach their conclusions. It_s the most comprehensive assessment of tree populations ever produced. The figure is eight times larger than the last best estimate, which was just 400 billion.
