A small silver lining for people needing to flee toxic algae: summer gas prices are lower than they_ve been in a decade Average gas prices in the US stood at 2 dollars and 18 cents a gallon on Friday with some predicting they could soon drop below the 2 dollar mark The low prices are due not just to the drop in the cost of oil but a MAJOR oversupply of gas.
