Passengers on Air France, Cathay Pacific, EgyptAir, Emirates, and Lufthansa will be screened with new interview questions. Some airlines will conduct them in-person at check-in counters, while others will hand out questionnaires. It_s a move that_s expected to affect 325-thousand passengers on 21-hundred flights daily. Travellers are being told to expect extra delays and longer lines. So much for flying the friendly skies Meanwhile the NAACP has issued a warning of its own. The organization is advising black travellers to avoid flying with American Airlines The organization says it_s noticed a pattern of disturbing incidents reported by African-American passengers, citing four examples where a black person was forced to give up their seat or removed from flights. American Airlines says it does not tolerate discrimination of any kind, and has reached out to the civil rights agency for a meeting. And it appears American opinions are shifting when it comes to athlete anthem protests. A new poll from HBO shows that 51-percent of the country believes that pro sports leagues should NOT require athletes to stand for The Star-Spangled Banner. That_s a big change from September of last year, when the same poll had just 43-percent of Americans feeling that way.
