All right seven English soccer fans received prison sentences ranging from one to three months_ for their part in rioting surrounding the England-Russia match over the weekend. The sentences also came with a two-year ban from entering France The charges against the group related specifically to bottle throwing. Although up to 150 Russian fans were also involved in the clashes the chief prosecutor for Marseille reported that none were arrested in connection to the violent rioting. El Nino is being blamed for the fastest rise in CO2 levels on record. Scientists say that carbon dioxide levels in the atmosphere are now at their highest levels in millions of years. The climate phenomenon has created a warmer drier environment in the tropics and this both limits the forests_ absorption of carbon dioxide AND leads to fires which exacerbate the problem. 2016 will be the first year in recorded history that carbon dioxide levels in our atmosphere will be at over 400 parts per million for the entire year. And Starting in July London_s public transport system will no longer allow ads that promote unhealthy or unrealistic body images. This follows a 2015 controversy over a Protein World ad featuring a bikini-clad model and the slogan Are you beach body ready? Britain_s Advertising Standards Agency was flooded with complaints about the ad and over 70 thousand signed a petition asking it to be taken down. And this is no small thing Elise The new policy will apply to approximately 12 THOUSAND ads that are used on the systemWell it certainly makes sense to me. Thanks very much Carli.
