Isabella with President Obama_s historic trip to Cuba a new poll from CBS News and the New York Times shows that nearly 60 percent of Americans FAVOR re-establishing ties with the country. A similar number support ending the decades-long trade embargo. When asked if improving diplomatic ties would lead to more democracy for Cubans half of those polled thought it would make no difference at all. One area where it IS making a difference is on the economic front. With airlines about to make daily flights and some Cuban hotels being run by American companies CRUISE lines are getting in on the action. Cuban officials have given approval to Carnival Corporation the parent company of several major cruise lines including PRINCESS to start sailing to the island from Miami beginning in May. Port stops will include Havana Cienfuegos and Santiago de Cuba. And Hulk Hogan has been awarded an additional 25 million dollars in his sex tape lawsuit against Gawker Media The jury handed the former wrestling champ the extra cash as PUNITIVE damages. That_s on top of the 115 million Gawker was ordered to pay LAST week for publishing the tape. Gawker is confident the ruling will be overturned on appeal claiming that the jury was not allowed to hear crucial evidence that would support their First Amendment claim.
