Though whether they_ll actually get enough party support to PASS the resolutions is another matter entirely Meanwhile a federal judge has greenlit a lawsuit accusing President Trump of accepting foreign gifts through his hotel chain The US Constitution bans emoluments, or federal officials accepting benefits from foreign governments without congressional approval. And yes, that includes private business transactions Plaintiffs claim that Trump_s hotel chain has gotten an unfair advantage due to his status. An example they cite is the embassies of Saudi Arabia and Kuwait spending their funds at the President_s Washington DC hotel in 2016 and 2017. The Maryland court has given both sides three weeks to determine next steps.
