There were more than 13-hundred rhinos killed for their horns in 2015 bringing the total number to nearly 6 THOUSAND since 2008. Officials point the finger at black market demand from South East Asia. Rhino horns are highly valued for medicinal purposes there and can sell for as much as 30 thousand dollars a pound Kat just to put those numbers into perspective there are now thought to be less than 29 THOUSAND rhinos remaining in the wild.Sobering figures and hopefully a call to action for local governments.
