In a fifty-minute presentation, Samsung laid out what went wrong with their Note 7s. After an investigation that included 700 of their own researchers testing 200 THOUSAND devices, as well as analysis by three independent firms, they_ve traced the problem back to the batteries. Seems that some had a design flaw which bent the electrodes, while others lacked sufficient insulation material Overall, problems with the Note 7 forced Samsung to recall over 3 MILLION units, and the whole affair is expected to cost the company over 5 BILLION dollars Diamonds may be forever, but the charges for stealing them last a pretty long time too Seven people were recently arrested for a massive diamond heist that took place in Amsterdam back in 2005 In February of that year, armed robbers held up a KLM armored car in a high-security part of a Dutch airport and made off with diamonds valued at over 70 MILLION While some of the gems were found shortly after the heist, more than 40 MILLION dollars_ worth remain unaccounted for It_s a sad story, but at least there_s a silver lining and also some hope Italian emergency crews working to find survivors at an avalanche-buried hotel have successfully rescued three puppies The white sheepdog pups had somehow managed to stay alive for days buried under literally tons of snow and rubble Besides the fact everyone loves puppies, it_s a sign that there could be more survivors Don_t go away
