With just $8000 Hugh Hefner published the first Playboy Magazine in 1953 and the world was never the same again That first issue had Marilyn Monroe on the cover and within the pages he penned an essay that defined his idea of the Playboy and the definition has pretty much remained the same ever since The magazine celebrated sex both in its writing and its many Playmates And though it became a running gag Playboy WAS also home to good articles fiction and interviews But mostly we_ll remember the nudity Hugh Hefner was 91 years old. In other news the FBI_s investigation of bribes in NCAA basketball may have just claimed its biggest name Though not indicted Louisville head coach Rick Pitino has been placed on unpaid administrative leave with his lawyer saying Pitino is quote effectively fired. This follows an admission by the school that their program is being looked at for bribes allegedly offered to recruits Plus Louisville was ALREADY dealing with a sex scandal involving escorts for players that could cost them their 2013 title I guess you could say Pitino FOULED OUT There_s no bigger relief in the world than finding out the thing in your lungs ISN_T a tumor. Still one 47-year-old British man had to be a little embarrassed to discover the mass in his lung was a toy Specifically it was a Playmobil plastic traffic cone from a set he_d received FORTY YEARS EARLIER Good news on two fronts as the cough which was plaguing the man went away AND he got a new toy I_ll be back later with more headlines.
