But if you_re one of the millions of people who use Facebook_s Trending Topics to answer that question, it turns out you MAY be answering it wrongOooh, intriguing Troubles at Facebook?A little early to say, but according to some former employees, a little bias DID manage to sneak its way in to the supposedly neutral site It turns out Facebook_s Trending Topics may not be trending as much as we think. A new report from tech blog Gizmodo suggests that Facebook_s team of news curators routinely overrules the site_s internal algorithm. Though it wasn_t official Facebook policy, it_s been implied that stories that would be of interest to conservative readers were often left OFF the influential list. Other topics were forced into the category if they were considered important stories that weren_t getting enough attention. And there was one topic that was never allowed to be trending on Facebook: Facebook itself. The Panama Papers database is now online and searchable to the public. While not a data dump of the 11.5 MILLION documents leaked from Panamanian law firm Mossack Fonseca, the database does provide a lot of information about the over 200 THOUSAND offshore accounts involved. Though these accounts are still being scrutinized, offshore accounts are routinely used to hide assets and evade taxes. And infamous drug lord El Chapo may soon be extradited to the United States. A Mexican judge has ruled that the extradition may proceed, and now it_s up to the Mexican foreign ministry to decide whether to approve it. Joaquin _El Chapo_ Guzman is facing charges including money laundering, drug trafficking, _, and murder. He was recently moved to a prison on the other side of the U.S. border, though Mexican authorities have denied that his imminent extradition was behind that. That_s all I_ve got right now.
