I_m Kat Curtis, welcome everyone. We_re starting things off today with 3 new films to show you, including one that is literally giving me a nerdgasm. Look it up, its a thing The movie is Logan, and it stars my future husband, Hugh Jackman. Here_s Madison, NAKED, at the Movies The character Logan may be better known to most film-goers as Wolverine, which is why the TITLE Logan tells you so much about this latest addition to the X-Men canon. This is the character at his most human, with diminished powers, an ailing father figure in the form of Charles Xavier, and a situation where he_s just struggling to get by. If, as expected, this is Hugh Jackman_s last time playing Wolverine, Logan is a very fitting and highly entertaining exit. It_s in theaters now. The Last Word hopefully won_t literally be the last word we get from iconic actress Shirley MacLaine, but you can_t help but see the parallels In this movie, she plays a retired businesswoman who engages a young writer played by Amanda Seyfried to put together her life story, only to realize it_s not what she thought it would be. I know a tale of self-discovery and female friendship may not be everyone_s cup of tea, but if you_re in the mood for a charming story starring two of the best actresses of their respective generations, The Last Word is out now. Wilson stars Woody Harrelson in the title role, and it_s a great fit for Harrelson_s gift at creating characters who are somehow lovable without being likable. When I tell you it_s based on a graphic novel and script by Daniel Clowes, the slightly warped mind behind Ghost World, you_ll hopefully be psyched to see Woody working without a filter I_m not sure Wilson_s someone I_d want to spend a lot of time with in real life, but for an hour and a half on the big screen, he_s a treat Wilson premiered at Sundance in January and is due to come out later this month.
