Protesters angry over the court decision in Ferguson Missouri are storming the streets of major cities across the US. The frustration goes beyond the grand jury_s decision in the Michael Brown case. For many it_s about racial injustice throughout the American legal system. A day after the Ferguson verdict, protests popped up in 170 cities around the nation. Disgraced former CBC radio personality and one time host of the syndicated show Q, Jian Ghomeshi has been arrested and charged with FOUR counts of sexual assault. Ghomeshi surrendered to police on Wednesday in Toronto after almost a month of allegations that he physically and sexually assaulted several women. The arrest comes a day after Ghomeshi dropped a 55 MILLION dollar wrongful termination lawsuit against the CBC.And Bill Cosby has had two more shows canceled due to widespread allegations of sexual assault. The 77-year old comedian_s upcoming dates in Washington and Connecticut have been postponed indefinitely. In the past few weeks more than a dozen women have come out to claim Cosby assaulted them. The allegations had already caused NBC to cancel plans for a new Cosby TV show, and Netflix to drop a standup special that would have started streaming this week.

Our coverage today starts in the naked newsroom where North Korea has ramped up its rhetoric against the US over the controversial Sony film The Interview. In a new statement published by North Korea_s state media, authorities have threatened to blow up the White House, claiming they_ve found clear evidence that the American government was behind the making of The Interview. Officials in Pyongyang say Washington engineered the movie as a propaganda tool against them. The film ends with the gruesome death of North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un. In the statement, North Korea refers to the US as a cesspool of terrorism, and says it is targeting the citadels of US imperialists, including the White House and the Pentagon. Oddly enough, the secretive country_s government still claims it had nothing to do with the hacking attacks against Sony. In other news, the US Treasury has essentially ended the Troubled Asset Relief Program, better known as TARP, which began in 2008 to bail out banks and car companies during the economic collapse. The Treasury sold off its remaining shares in Ally Financial, bringing its total profits to 15.3 billion dollars. The TARP program saw the government pour more than 426 billion into banks and the Big Three automakers to keep them from going under. It was a policy that outraged the public and essentially sparked the rise of the Tea Party movement. The TARP program was started in the final months of George W Bush_s presidency, and is now being hailed as a victory by President Obama and his team. And speaking of car companies, Chrysler, has now expanded its recall of cars and trucks fitted with faulty Takata airbags. The recall now totals 3.3 million vehicles worldwide - 2.9 million of which are in the US. Ten other major car companies are also recalling vehicles that were fitted with the Takata airbags, which can explode and send shrapnel at the driver and passengers. Allow me to introduce Tabatha Hamilton of Trenton Georgia, the winner of last weekend_s Chickamauga Battlefield Marathon Her time of 2 hours, 55 minutes, and 39 seconds was truly impressive. Heck, I_m impressed by anyone who can run 26.2 miles in ANY amount of time. But as you_ve probably guessed by now, Tabatha_s time set off quite the controversyWhen race officials looked into the split times from her race, they noticed something more than just a little fishy. The 31-year old ran the FIRST 13.1 miles in just under 2 hours and 7 minutes. A steady pace. But it took her just 49 MINUTES to run the OTHER 13 miles At this point I_d like to point out that the world record for a HALF MARATHON is 58 minutes and 23 seconds. So our friend Tabatha here smashed the world record for a half marathon while running the second half of a full one Note to self: when cheating in a marathon, try and avoid breaking world records - it only arouses suspicion If you think what Tabatha did was flat out impossible, you_re not alone Race officials disqualified her as the race winner and awarded the number one place to someone else. But here_s the thing - she_s sticking to her guns Tabatha says she ran every inch of that race, and she didn_t cheat. She claims her tracking chip was faulty Hey, innocent until proven guilty, right? I_d even be tempted to give her the benefit of the doubt... if it weren_t for ONE minor detail. This WASN_T Hamilton_s first marathon - far from it. In fact, she ran one last year that took her more than SIX HOURS. All of a sudden she_s breaking the 3 hour mark? Virtually impossible. Did she hop in a cab, or was she so exhausted she somehow veered off course and accidentally took a shortcut? Maybe, but either way, it sounds to ME like Tabitha_s running from the truth. That_s why the only thing she_s winning is the dishonor of being our Boob of the Week
