This includes the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, more commonly known as _food stamps._ In their report, Newsweek says millions of needy Americans will be pushed out of the program, in a country where one in six people faces hunger Even when Mark Zuckerberg tries to do the right thing, he often seems just a little bit off. Cedar Bayou, Texas has recorded an incredible 51-POINT-8-8 INCHES of rain due to Hurricane Harvey That_s not just a record for Texas, but for the entire continental U.S. And if you haven_t done the math, that_s OVER FOUR FEET As the National Weather Service pointed out in a tweet, so much rain has fallen, they actually had to change their color charts just to properly indicate it Wherever there_s people in trouble, there_ll be people trying to take advantage The Texas attorney general_s office has reportedly received hundreds of complaints about price gouging Stories include a store charging a HUNDRED DOLLARS for a case of water, and some gas stations charging as much as TEN DOLLARS per gallon Of course, under Texas law, price gougers can face twenty thousand dollar fines, which can rise to a QUARTER OF A MILLION if the victim_s a senior citizen And a sociology professor from the University of Tampa has been FIRED after blaming the GOP for the disaster. Well according to a new poll from Survey Monkey, it really depends on which party they support. 89-percent of Republicans overwhelmingly favor Trump in the fight against so-called fake news CNN, while 91-percent of Democrats support the cable news channel in the search for truth. Overall, the news network has a 7 point edge over the Commander-in-Chief. CNN wins this round, but I_m betting the fight_s far from over A US federal judge has told Martin Shkreli something we_ve ALL wanted to say to him for months: SHUT. UP The infamous Pharma Bro is on trial for securities fraud and he can_t stop blabbing about it Shkreli_s been ordered to stop talking about the trial to the press or posting things online. He_s been banned from Twitter for months, but is suspected of using an anonymous account to riff on the trial. The judge says Martin craves attention and is trying to make a spectacle of himself. If there_s one thing the Internet_s taught me, it_s to never feed the trolls The ice bucket challenge raised more than 220 million dollars for ALS research when it went viral in 2014. Now, that money is being used to help treat the man who started it all 32-year old Peter Frates has been admitted to a Massachusetts hospital in his battle with ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig_s disease.
