They_ve just busted up a HUGE theft ring that they say is responsible for up to a FIFTH of all the burglaries in Germany Interestingly, the gang, with up to 500 members, used mostly young female burglars, apparently because they were more discreet and less likely to do jail time Of course, after dozens of arrests in Germany, as well as in Croatia and Spain, I_m thinking those stats may be about to change The Fyre Festival was an unmitigated disaster, and now they_ve got the FBI investigation to prove it According to the New York Times, the US Attorney_s Office and the FBI are looking at the festival organizers for possible charges of mail, wire, and securities fraud In addition to bilking attendees, investors, and vendors, it seems the event planners were inventing luxury accommodations they didn_t have just to see if anyone would bite I know in the fight of Man versus Nature, we_re supposed to root for Man... but when it_s a man who_s dedicated his life to killing exotic animals, you can be forgiven for kind of wanting one to even the score. Sadly, the score was one-one on Friday, when professional big game hunter Theunis Botha was crushed to death as a fatally wounded elephant who_d attacked his hunting party fell on top of him. As a result, oddsmakers now say there_s a 55-percent chance Trump won_t make it And seven years after being imprisoned for handing thousands of sensitive government documents to WikiLeaks, Chelsea Manning has been released Manning was facing 35 years behind bars for violating the Espionage Act. Manning sent more than 700-thousand secret military documents to WikiLeaks in 2010. President Obama commuted her sentence in January. Spirit Airlines is in the middle of a labor dispute with their pilots, but it was the PASSENGERS who got caught in the middle. Until it was the sheriff_s deputies When multiple flights were cancelled at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport on Monday, several would-be passengers charged the check-in counter, leading to THIS. As a result of that craziness, three people were arrested and charged with disorderly conduct. If the judge has a sense of humor, they might be sentenced to flying Spirit Airlines A shocking new study suggests common, over the counter, anti-inflammatory drugs like Advil and Aleve can lead to an increased risk of heart attack Experts say it mainly applies to people who take them on a regular basis. Overall, the results showed a 20 to 50 percent increase in risk of a heart attack when using them, compared to people in the study group who did NOT use them. And the big drop in unemployment that started under President Obama thankfully seems to be continuing without him Unemployment has been in pretty steady decline since its peak in 2009 and is now at 4-point-4 percent, its lowest rate in a decade On top of that, the US has 5-point-7 MILLION job openings, near the all-time high reached last July Of course, that number also reflects a bit of a skills gap, but I prefer to see the job market as half full... and then some Don_t go away.
