Meanwhile, Facebook is looking pretty bad after investigative journalists revealed that advertisers on the social media platform can target racists Specifically, news site The Intercept found it was able to promote articles to, quote, people who have expressed an interest or like pages related to White genocide conspiracy theory. And in case you were wondering, that detailed targeting found about a hundred and seventy thousand users Facebook has since deleted the category... but clearly has more work to do And Amazon MAY have found the home for its second headquarters. While nothing_s been confirmed, The Washington Post recently reported that Amazon held advanced discussions about setting up shop in Crystal City in Northern Virginia, close to Washington, D.C. Over 7 million people have seen this woman from St. Louis, Missouri, trying to stop a black man from entering their shared apartment building Okay, that profiling was more than bad enough... but according to the post accompanying the vid, about half an hour after she saw him ENTER his apartment, THE COPS SHOWED UP No small wonder she lost her job because of it To be a Toronto sports fan is to accept that our basketball team is called The Raptors, a reference to a twenty-five-year-old movie that has no connection to the city Well, I feel a little better now thanks to the Iowa State Cyclones and their marching band. Not only did they do a musical tribute to Jurassic Park, they brought out a troupe of dancers to bring the experience to life Okay, that is just odd, or as the Fox College Football tweet put it, what is happening??. Of course, the video in that tweet has over TWO MILLION views... so I guess there_s something to be said for extinction? Conor McGregor is not someone you want to battle physically or verbally... but I_m assuming he won_t fight a woman, so I_m going to make fun of him In fairness, I_ll concede that he didn_t grow up in North America. He_s best known to the world as Robb Stark from Game of Thrones According to reports, not only is he at the top of producer Barbara Broccoli_s list, she_s preparing to offer him the role Consider my loins shaken AND stirred Based on what I just said, it_s looking less and less like Idris Elba will get to be the next Bond, but he may be getting a ninth life The A lister is set to join the big-screen adaptation of the musical Cats He_ll apparently be taking on the role of Macavity, a master criminal. If he_s anything like Stringer Bell, I_m sold The cast also includes such notable names as James Corden, Ian McKellen, Jennifer Hudson, and of course, Taylor Swift It_s slated to be released on December 20th, 2019. Michael B. Jordan is already the face of one franchise thanks to Creed... and he soon could be adding another Jordan is set to star in The Silver Bear as Columbus, a feared and respected hitman in the criminal underworld. Not only does that sound awesome, it_s based on the first book of a four-book series, so if it_s good, you can almost guarantee there_ll be more If this is as close as we get to the return of Killmonger, I_ll take it Keira Knightley is headed for the Miss World competition... at least on film The lovely Miss Knightley is part of an ensemble cast in the movie Misbehavior, which looks at the crazy true story of the 1970 Miss World pageant At the time, it was the world_s most watched television show... which made it all the more remarkable when the newly formed Women_s Liberation Movement disrupted the broadcast. And THEN there was more uproar when Miss Grenada took the crown, becoming the first black woman to do so Sounds like quite the story. Something else we_ll be watching is Miss Bala Based on the newly released trailer, Gina Rodriguez looks poised to become the movie star we know she should be. As a woman caught in an impossible situation, she gets to be both dramatic and an action star... and it seems we_ll be getting one hell of a ride That is so kick-ass I don_t know if Gina ever felt typecast as Jane the Virgin... but I_m thinking this role should put an end to that for sure Miss Bala will be in theaters February 1st.
