Best Super Bowl I_ve seen in years I wouldn_t want to be a Seahawks fan right now though-and here_s why. The New England Patriots became the FIRST team in Super Bowl history to trail by double digits in the second half and win. Seattle had a chance late though thanks to an incredible catch by Jermaine Kearse. He was flat on his back but still hauled it in after it BOUNCED off his legs Unfortunately the Seahawks inexplicably called a passing play on second and goal. And Patriots backup cornerback Malcolm Butler picked off Russell Wilson to seal the deal. New England captured its first Super Bowl title since 2004. What a gameAlso living up to the hype was the Super Bowl halftime show Katy Perry pulled out all the stops in what was the very definition of a spectacle. Dancing sharks robot tigers and flying on a shooting star. Guest appearances from Lenny Kravitz and rapper Missy Elliott also brought down the house. Whether you_re a fan of Katy_s music or not-you have to admit it was pretty entertaining.Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers missed out on the Super Bowl. But he DID get some hardware as a consolation prize. Rodgers was named the NFL MVP-becoming just the ninth player to win it multiple times. Rodgers led the NFL in touchdown-to-interception ratio and finished in the top three in several categories. Plus he_s dating Olivia Munn so all in all I_d say things are going pretty well for Mr. Rodgers. In tennis Novak Djokovic continued his dominance down under. He defeated Andy Murray in four sets to win the Australian Open. It_s Djokovic_s fourth win there in the last five years and fifth overall. It was a tight contest through the first two sets but the Serbian number one took care of business after that closing things out six-three six-love.And Anderson Silva reminded everyone that he_s one of the greatest UFC fighters of all time on Saturday. He beat Nick Diaz by unanimous decision at UFC 183 in Las Vegas. Silva didn_t show much rust in his first fight in 13 months. And for a guy who_s nearly 40 years old he handled Diaz pretty convincingly. Silva has yet to decide if he_ll retire-but my feeling is that he_s got one more BIG fight left That_s how things look in the Naked Sports department for Naked News I_m Natasha Olenski.
