Kat the Spam King has been dethroned Sanford Wallace has been sentenced to two and a half years in prison on federal charges of electronic fraud and criminal contempt. Between 2008 and 2009 the 47-year old Las Vegas native sent more than 27 million spam emails to Facebook users. The emails contained links to websites that harvested their log-in credentials and friend lists. Wallace made money by redirecting people to other sites. Wallace_s spamming began in the 90_s when he started sending junk faxes. That_s old school In addition to his 30-month sentence the Spam King will pay more than 310-thousand dollars in fines. Just two days before Russia learns whether it will be allowed to send athletes to the Rio Olympics the nation has been hit with another damning doping scandal. The latest report from the World Anti-Doping Agency or WADA claims that its officials in Russia are being stopped from testing athletes and even threatened by security personnel. The report claims that 73 tests on athletes could not be collected and 736 were declined or cancelled. It also cites a number of incidents of athletes trying to cheat tests or even running away from testers. The WADA report doesn_t bode well for Russia. On Friday the IAAF will announce its decision on whether Russian athletes will be able to participate in Brazil.And China_s richest man and former Naked News Person of the Year Jack Ma has stunned luxury brands around the world. The founder of e-commerce site Alibaba - the Asian version of Amazon said that counterfeit goods are often BETTER than the real thing Ma has come under fire for allowing and profiting from knock-off goods sold on the site. According to Ma the fakes are made in the same factories as the high-end brands but they_re often of better quality and sell at a better price. He says counterfeiting isn_t a quality problem it_s an intellectual property problem. Kat brands like Gucci Louis Vuitton and Michael Kors no doubt disagree.It really is almost impossible to tell the difference between a knock-off and the real thing these days.
